Chilenos en el mundial de larga distancia WT de Almere

Este fin de semana se disputó la edición 2021 del campeonato mundial de larga distancia de la Word Triathlon en Almere, Países Bajos, donde 5 chilenos estuvieron compitiendo: Aníbal Vejar, Tomás Gonzalez, Josette Sepulveda, Claudio Aguilera y Héctor Larenas.

Estos fueron los resultados de los chilenos:

- Héctor Larenas (40-44): 11:09:42 (31 en su categoría)
- Tomas González (35-39): 11:16:08 (28 en su categoría)
- Aníbal Vejar (30-34): 11:17:55 (24 en su categoría)
- Claudio Aguilera (45-49): 11:55:11 (32 en su categoría)
- Josette Sepúlveda: 12:48:00 (8va en su categoría)

La carrera, en categoría Elite, la ganó el danés Kristian Hogenhaug con un tiempo de 7:37:46, en segundo lugar terminó el sueco Jesper Svensson con 7:39:25 y el podio lo completó el brasileño Reinaldo Colucci (7:45:15).

En mujeres, la ganadora fue la neerlandesa Sarissa De Vries con 8:32:04, en segundo puesto finalizó la francesa Manon Genet (8:34:22) y en tercer puesto finalizó la danesa Michelle Vesterby con 8:38:53.
